This insert was designed to hold the 1/4" 50-piece chrome socket set 48-22-9004 in low profile packout case 48-22-8436.
It is compatible with non-Milwaukee 1/4" socket sets as well.
It will keep all the sockets tight to the lid so they won't move around as long as the case is closed.
It also includes a large open tray for extra storage.
We now offer labels to identify which tool is in which case. Labels are offered at a discount if purchased with a matching insert. Please ignore the mismatched name in the picture, if you order a label with this insert, it will say 1/4 CHROME on it.
Item was as described. The fit could have been better. Where the the short SAE sockets are placed, is right on a rib in the lid of the Packout. They sit too high,causing the lid to bow up in the middle. This renders the seal useless. Thankfully there was enough material below the socket seats, I was able to use a foster bit to remove some of it. Now it fits pretty good and the seal is in gaged to the lid.
Ratchet area need a little bit more spacing if you are using a non Milwaukee racket. Some of the deep well don’t fit easily. I had to use a slight bit of dremel work to make a couple of the deep well and ratchet to fit and not get stuck
