From the designer:
This is a custom insert that I have designed to fit your Milwaukee Packout Drawers to store your M18 Gen 4 Drill and Impact Driver. It specifically fits the Milwaukee 2 & 3 Drawer units (48-22-8443 & 48-22-8442).
These are the specific tools the insert is designed for:
This is the ultimate modular storage solution for your Packout Drawers! Files are provided for having your insert on either the left or right side. I will have many more designs to share for the drawers soon so you can mix and match your inserts to set up your own perfect drawer units!
DRIVER BIT HOLDER NOTE:
I have also included recessed areas to accommodate the stock driver bit holder as best as possible. The drawers have ridges in the bottom which I had to design around; thus, I was limited with how much space I could provide. Whether the skin fits will depend on the length of the driver bits you want to insert into the holder. If you need to remove them prior to inserting the tool, there are extra storage spots included around the design as well as underneath where the tools sit.
BELT HOOK NOTE:
If you use your M18 Gen 4 tools without the belt hook, you will be able to place the insert into the 3-drawer unit. If you use your Gen 4 tools with the belt hook, you will need to use the 2-drawer unit. Unfortunately, due to the distance the hook protrudes from the tool, it is not possible to fit the skin in the 3 drawer unit with the hook attached.
If your belt hook is on the same side as what is pictured above in the grid comparison photo (the left side) you will need to print the "left sided" files. If your belt hook is on the opposite side of the tool, you will need to print the "right sided" files which are the same designs except mirrored. By doing so, this ensures that your tool sits flat without the belt hook underneath which would prevent the tool sitting flat.
first and last time I will buy from this site. The 3d printed inserts are only ok. They are functional, but are far from being great. Definitely not worth what I paid. Quality control is no good. Everything I purchased has issues. Corners smushed in, rows of 3d print are not sticking together and they’re just sagging. Feels like there’s no pride in what was made. If it was me, I would ship out something like that. The pictures are just a couple samples of the poor quality I received.
